For my other sister

My other sister challenged me to find a song that reminds me of her.  I think I found something better.  My sister just graduated with a degree in something really cool.  I'd tell you what it is but I never get it right.

Anyway, she would always share fun games and  dance activities that she learned in class with the fam after Sunday dinner, so when I saw these videos I thought of her.  I also think they would be perfect talent show acts for college students, or better yet, high priests (hint, hint dad).

For my sister

When I hear this song I think of my sister.  It makes me smile.

I have the best mentor in the world

Over spring break I got to see one of my mentors.  Well she's more than a mentor, she is a former boss, and a really good friend who I haven't seen in months.  I believe that there are some people on this earth that we are connected too, and I believe I am connected to her.  I can't really explain it, but its there. She has cancer.  She has every right to be mad at the world, but she isn't.  She is happy.  She laughs.  She finds humor in what could be, and probably sometimes is, an awful day.

I don't have cancer, but I do get mad at the world, ASU, and professors.  Sometimes its hard for me to happy and laugh.  Sometimes its hard for me to have perspective and remember what is most important, instead of getting consumed by school.

Over spring break I visited a friend and she taught me that life is what it is.  Enjoy it.  Don't worry about what it is next because there is something bigger than ourselves in charge, and it will all work out in the end if we do our part.

I love my friend.  She helps me stay grounded.

Look at What Ella Can Do

So we wanted to give an update on everything that Ella does now but Chase left me in charge of the blog post which meant that it would take forever! Now that she is four months old, there are a lot of things that Ella can do:
  • Smiles at nearly everyone (except for Grandpa Sir before 3pm)
  • Giggles spontaneously
  • Does baby pushups and can keep her head up for a good amount of time
  • Plays with her toys that jingle
  • Like to practice sitting and standing with some help
  • Recognizes her name and recognizes mom and dad
  • Only wakes up once in the middle of the night
  • Has rolled over from tummy to back and is very close to rolling over from back to tummy
  • Started eating solids with a yummy bowl of rice cereal

That's a pretty good list of all the big things. She keeps getting bigger by the day and it's so fun to see all the things that are happening nearly every day. So here's some pictures for you to enjoy as well.
